This is a pretty bird-attracting tree with a heavy crown due to the profusion of brilliant red flowers in Spring and Summer. It is the weight of these flowers that gives it a pendulous habit.
Uses
This trees makes a great informal hedge and can be very appealing in a native garden as a specimen tree. Its flowers can also be used as cut flowers.

As a native, Callistemon varieties are tolerant of most soil types and enjoy full to partial sun.
