Japanese Plum

This is another attractive deciduous fruiting tree for small gardens with strong upright growth. It produces a large sweetish purplish plum highly regarded for eating, preserving and stewing. The flesh is yellow.

Uses

This is a very popular fruiting plum. A good choice for small gardens.

Preferred Position & Soil

Prefers a humus rich soil in a full sun position in a moderate climate. Can be heavy bearing, so some thining of fruit is required. Fruits early to mid season.
