'Beurre Bosc' is a medium-sized deciduous fruiting tree with an upright, pyramidal habit. Fruit matures around the end of February. Their juicy, yellowish-white flesh and russetted skin colour make it one of the most popular varieties grown.

Uses

This is a popular pear variety, useful for eating, preserving and cooking.

Preferred Position & Soil

Pears produce best in full sun, though they can also tolerate partial sun. They prefer light, rich soils with good drainage but will tolerate heavier, clay-rich soils.
