An artists impression of a greener Guildford Lane

A draft strategy has been developed by the City of Melbourne to turn the nine hectares of Melbourne's inner city laneways into green walkways rejuvenating these spaces and complementing Melbourne's growing small bar and cafe culture.

The proposal encourages select lanes to be temporarily closed then greened to let people see the potential of planting it out. We think that is a great idea! More Trees Please!
