Beyond 40 years

The theme of the night was Beyond 40 years and it allowed us a moment of reflection on reaching 40 years of operation - a considerable milestone in the industry.  But the night also encouraged members to understand and address opportunities around climate change and in particular how increasing temperatures and their related effects were expected to impact and influence the green industry both in terms of process and product over the next 40 years.

We would like to thank NGIV Tree & Shrub Grower organisers for allowing us to co-host their industry night. The glorious weather and well-credentialled presenters also made this a fun yet informative evening. Even bigger thanks are extended to Alister Hawkesford and Luke Shelley from the Agriculture Program at the Melbourne Bureau of Meteorology and Professor David Ellsworth, Leigh Staas and student contingent from Western Sydney University for excellent presentations that focused on the future of our industry.
