Spring Selections for Summer Flowering

Here are our outstanding spring selections. Planted now they will be ready for summer flowering. Be quick to secure this material.

Brachychiton populneus x discolor 'Griffith Pink'

Griffith Pink Brachychiton

Brachychiton comes into its own during summer when the tree is amass of flowers. As the name suggests, this variety produces pink bell-like flowers that sit in clusters. As a grafted tree, it is more compact in size which makes it highly suitable for domestic landscapes. Makes for a wonderful specimen tree. Leaf size and flower colour are slightly different to others we currently grow.

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Natchez'

Crepe Myrtle (white)

A very popular line, this is a small deciduous tree that produces spectacular white crinkle like flowers in late Summer. It has a beautiful growth habit with dark green leaves changing to orange before falling. Even it's bark is fabulous and a feature in winter when the tree is bare.

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Sioux'

Crepe Myrtle (hot musk pink)

Another beauty, this hot pink flowering Crepe Myrtle has small oval shaped green leaves that turn a stunning reddish/orange in autumn. With red and yellow foliage in autumn and a beautiful smooth trunk in winter, this tree has year-round interest.

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Tuscarora'

Crepe Myrtle (hot pink)

One of the tallest Crepe Myrtles we grow, Tuscarora produces hot pink flowers on masse in late summer. Flower heads form on new growth and are encouraged by winter pruning. The smooth bark is beige coloured with red-brown streaks.

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Zuni'

Crepe Myrtle (purple)

Stunningly beautiful free-flowering, multi-stemmed shrub or small tree. Shiny dark green leaves with red tinges when young, with masses of purple flowers. This is slightly smaller growing than 'Tuscarora' or 'Sioux' with a mature height of around 4m.

Magnolia grandiflora 'Teddy Bear' ™

Teddy Bear Magnolia (evergreen)

This is an evergreen Magnolia growing to 4m with rounded and cupshaped leaves. Foliage sits tighter on the tree giving it a fuller, denser appearance than other varieties. As is customary with Magnolia, beautiful large white flowers are produced in spring and autumn.

Magnolia grandiflora 'Kay Parris'

Kay Parris Magnolia (evergreen)

This is a beautiful tree with dark green glossy leaves and brown velvety underside so expected with Magnolia. It produces creamy white fragrant flowers in May that are enormous! It differentiates itself from other varieties by its wavy edge to its leaf and its bright pink new growth.

Jacaranda mimosifolia

Jacaranda

This fast-growing tree is probably our most iconic summer variety due to its purple, bell-shaped flowers that cover the tree in summer, making them very easy to spot in the landscape. Offering good canopy cover and 'stand-out' summer appeal, is it a long-time favourite of many people.
