Results are in! Want to know what the hottest feature trees are this summer? We've compiled our orders and enquiries to reveal what's in demand right now. Beautifully, they include natives and exotic deciduous trees known for summer performance.

Magnolia grandiflora 'Teddy Bear' ™

Teddy Bear Magnolia Tree (evergreen)

A densely growing evergreen Magnolia growing to 4m with rounded and cupshaped leaves that are held tightly on the tree. It's leaves are glossy with a soft furry brown underside. Gloriously large white flowers are produced in summer and autumn. This is a very versatile tree perfect as a neat specimen tree or dense hedge.

Pyrus calleryana 'Capital'

Capital Ornamental Pear Tree

This ornamental pear tree has a narrow growth habit making it suitable for a wide range of uses including lining driveways and fencelines. It produces shiny green leaves that hang vertically from branches with an attractive curl at the end. Being deciduous, its leaves turn a reddish-purple in autumn as shown which adds to its attraction. A perfect tree for tight spaces to screen out two storey developments!

Eucalyptus pulverulenta 'Baby Blue' (Tree form)

Silver-leaved Mountain Gum (tree form)

This is a small-growing eucalypt usually seen as a tall, spreading shrub that retains its juvenile foliage into maturity. Young leaves, stems and inflorescences have a powdery white bloom. Foliage is strikingly silvery-grey and round in form. Cream flowers are produced between May and November and the large capsules that follow are cup-shaped.

Banksia integrifolia

Coastal Banksia Tree

This distinctive native tree is found on the east coast of Australia. It has rough patterned bark and long green leaves with a silver underside. Pale yellow, cylinder-shaped flowers can be seen in summer to winter and can be up to 12cm long. The seed pods stay on the branch for long periods and look very ornamental.

Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy'

Burgundy Redbud Tree

This small, attractive tree has spectacular heart-shaped, burgundy coloured leaves that continually change colour throughout the year. A rich purple in spring, the foliage transforms to green over summer, followed by a multi-coloured autumn display in tones of red, apricot and gold. The branches have a distinctive, smooth, dark brown wood which contrasts well with the blossom like pink flowers that are borne before the re-emergence of leaves in spring.

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Natchez'

Crepe Myrtle Tree (white)

Like Tuscarora' Lagerstroemia 'Natchez' offers up wonderful versatility all year- round. With a compact growth habit, autumnal colour, flaky bark and spectacular white crinkle like flowers produced on masse in late summer it is no wonder this tree has made our top 8. As a white flowering Crepe Myrtle it can suit any landscape.

Waterhousea floribunda 'ST1' Whisper (syn. Syzygium)

Whisper Weeping Lilly Pilly Tree

Unique to Speciality Trees and our best-selling tree! This is a versatile, bushy tree with a wonderful weeping habit, making it perfect for large screening projects and the softening of fence lines. Unlike other Waterhousea, it is propagated from Victorian mother-stock, so responds better to all weather conditions, including cooler climates. New growth starts off pink and orange with leaves turning to various shades of green as the foliage matures.

Magnolia grandiflora 'Sweet Carolina' ™

Sweet Carolina Magnolia Tree (evergreen)

'Sweet Carolina' is a medium growing evergreen tree to 4m tall. It has glossy mid-green leaves and stunning huge creamy white flowers with a heavy perfume in spring and summer. Light burgundy new growth in spring is very attractive.

Brachychiton populneus x discolor 'Griffith Pink'

Griffith Pink Brachychiton Tree

Evergreen rounded pyramid-shaped tree with densely packed panicles of pink flowers in late spring or early summer. The trunk is long and thick and has green-lobed foliage that creates a dense canopy. Offers slightly different foliage to other pink varieties such as 'Bella Donna' and 'Bella Pink'.
