This deciduous tree is relatively small growing to around 5m tall. It has slender, arching branches, double mauve-pink flowers, and reddish-purple leaves which turn purplish green in summer. An early flowering variety, it heralds the warmer days as they arrive with a beautiful display of slightly fragrant blossoms from mid-August to mid-September. Being a hybrid variety it is sterile and does not produce fruit. |
