Red Flowering Gum

This Red Flowering Gum forms a tight rounded shape with thick, dark green foliage which lighter in colour on the undersides. The trunk is rough and dark brown, and in summer a profusion of brightly coloured flowers appears, making quite a statement when in full flower. Following this grand floral display, large urn shaped gumnuts appear. Growing to 15m, it is often used in parks and streetscapes and thrives best in well-drained soils.
