Foliage Deciduous
Form Branches Ascending
Mature Size 13 x 9m

This tree has impressive autumn colours beginning with green leaves in the spring, then turning to a dark pinkish red during autumn. The undersides of the leaves also change from grey in the spring to pinkish in the autumn. It is usually one of the last to change to its autumn colour and usually holds its leaves longer into the season. This tree has ascending branches when young, maturing to a more rounded canopy. This tree is also known as 'Autumn Red'.

Makes an attractive specimen tree in medium and large gardens. A great tree for avenue and group plantings due to its stunning autumn colour.

Prefers a sheltered or semi shade position. Grows well in most soils and likes moisture. It is very adaptable to climates with mild winters and hot summers.
