Persian Silk Tree A very adaptable, small deciduous tree useful as a feature tree in a park or garden with the right space. It produces a delicate display of pink pompom-like flower heads in summer atop of branches. Fine, feathery foliage provides nice dappled shade in summer. Butterfly attracting. Mostly planted as a feature or specimen tree. Is great for parks and gardens. Also suitable for colder climate gardens, should cope with frosts and light snow. Prefers a position in full sun or part shade in most soil types as long as moist. Will cope with low-water once established. |
