Jerilderie Red Brachychiton This is an attractive densely canopied tree that grows to approximately 8m tall and 7m wide. It has a bloated trunk and large lobed leaves. During the summer months, the tree is densely packed with stunning powdery-red flowers that are shaped like small bells. The form and colour of this magnificent Australian tree makes it suitable for many urban situations including commercial landscapes, streetscapes, schools, parks and golf courses. It is a very reliable shade tree in smaller gardens. This tree prefers a sunny spot in a well drained soil. Prefers a low phosphorus native fertiliser. |
