Description Betula pendula 'Alba' is a weeping deciduous tree with a beautiful silver-white trunk, pendulous branches and silvery green foliage. Its leaves change from green to gold in autumn which makes it a lovely tree for year-round interest.

Uses Birch is often used to line fences or driveways. As a group planting, they create a woodland effect. They have a fibrous root system which means that they are unlikely to damage paths or underground pipes but require mulching in summer to retain moisture.
