Tree Callistemon citrinus x viminalis 'Harkness' Harkness Bottlebrush
Description Tolerant of a variety of sites, this tree-like, Bottlebrush is hardy and adaptable. It has pendulous branches, with grey-green leaves, off which masses of red flower spikes form during spring and autumn. The flowers are long lasting and attract nectar loving birds.

Uses Makes a nice specimen tree and change from the everyday if used for hedging or screening due to its foliage and distinctive flowering capabilities. Tip prune after flowering to keep this tree bushy and ready for the next flush.
Position & Soil This variety can tolerate the poorest of soils, dry periods of light frost and moderate coastal exposure. It can take part shade but grows best in well drained, moist soil and full sun for optimum flowering.
