Tree Cercis siliquastrum Judas Tree, Love Tree
Description This is an attractive, small deciduous tree with rounded, heart shaped leaves. In spring, clusters of pea-like flowers appear along the branches and trunk. These flowers are pink in colour and appear early in spring, before the foliage and are followed by long, flat, deep purple pods which hang decoratively throughout the tree.

Uses This is a lovely small deciduous tree for use as a feature tree or mass planted as a deciduous screen. Suitable for small-large gardens, parks and as a street tree.
Position & Soil Tolerates most soil types but prefers a moist position. Avoid hot and windy sites. Also suitable for colder climate gardens, should cope with frosts and light snow.
