Tree Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' Royal Purple Smoke Bush
Description Another attractive medium sized deciduous shrub with deep purple foliage that turns to a brilliant blend of oranges and reds in autumn. When the sun shines through it the purple has hints of green which make it illuminate. Its smokey-looking flowers create a mysterious haze in late spring to early summer.

Uses A beautiful specimen planting for all gardens. Cotinus are outstanding specimens in a shrub border, and are a great choice for planting in groups or for hedging.
Position & Soil This variety tolerates cold well and performs best in well drained soils and full sun. Can tolerate shade and drought once established.
