Tree Ulmus procera 'Royal Parade' Royal Parade English Elm
Description Stately by nature, this is a large, relatively fast-growing deciduous tree reminiscent of the avenue of honour first established in Melbourne's Royal Parade, Parkville, in the early 1900's. The bark is interesting being grey and fissured, but come autumn, the striking yellow foliage is the real stand out feature of this variety.

Uses Due to its size, this tree is mostly used for streetscapes and large parks where there is sufficient space.
Position & Soil This tree prefers a humus rich soil in a sunny position but will tolerate most conditions. Consider irrigation in long periods of drought.
