Monterey Cypress A fast, tall growing conifer with lush bright green new growth that is very tolerant of strong winds and coastal conditions. It often grows in an irregular shape with the foliage usually having a flat top. This makes it easily recognisable in distant landscapes. Fantastic for a hedge which trims to a smooth texture. Great in coastal streetscapes. Prefers a well drained, humus rich soil in a full sun position but is also adaptable to dry semi-shade positions. |
