Eucalyptus torquata x woodwardii 'Torwood'

Foliage Evergreen
Form Broad-domed
Mature Size 7 x 6m
Family Myrtaceae
Torwood Coral Gum

This small evergreen, native tree is a spectacular hybrid cross between E. torquata and E. woodwardia, which are both endemic to Western Australia. It has beautiful blue-green foliage. Flowers are produced in spring and summer and are commonly large and clustered in a pretty mix of orange, scarlet and yellow tones.

Growing below 8m tall, and with such beautiful flowering, it is a good selection as a feature or street tree in a dry environment.

Bird attracting, this tree will thrive in an open, sunny, well-drained position. Drought and frost tolerant once established, it prefers a dry, low rainfall environment. Is very suited to coastal conditions. Refrain from high phosphorus fertilisers.
