Grevillea hookeriana 'Red Hooks'

Foliage Evergreen
Form Round
Mature Size 3-5 x 3m
Family Proteaceae
Red Toothbrush

This appealing indigenous shrub produces attractive deeply lobed leaves and dark red flowers rich in nectar, making a lovely cut flower. These cluster at the branch tips resembling toothbrushes, drawing in local birds and bees into the garden. While it primarily blooms in the winter and spring, it's also capable of occasional flowering throughout the year.

This shrub can be used for contrast planting or as an informal hedge or screen.

It requires well drained soils in sunny or semi-shaded situations. It tolerates extended dry periods once established and is tolerant of at least moderate frosts.
