'Ward' Sweetgum This is medium-sized pyramidal feature tree when young, maturing to a broader, rounder form with corky-like bark with age. Attractive foliage is a glossy medium green turning to a range of yellow, red and burgundy in autumn before falling. A full sun position provides the best autumn colour. A beautiful specimen tree for autumnal colour in the landscape, in commercial open spaces such as parks, gardens and streets where space permits. Prefers a full sun position in humus-rich soil. |
