Gorgeous Crab Apple This is an attractive small ornamental tree, with masses of small pink buds opening to single white flowers in spring. Red fruit is borne on long stems making the tree more open and pendulous. This is a very pretty ornamental tree, great as a feature tree in a small garden or planted in a small group if there is space. Budding branches are often used in floral arrangements. While this variety is tolerant of most soil types, it is best grown in cool-climate gardens in humus rich soil in a protected sunny spot. |
