Prunus persica 'Red Haven'

Foliage Deciduous
Form Round
Mature Size 4 x 4m
Family Rosaceae

This is a vigorous and fast-growing freestone peach variety. After a display of fragrant, pink blossoms in spring, mid-summer brings a heavy crop of medium-sized, almost fuzzless yellow-fleshed fruit that are yellow-skinned with a red blush. They are one of the most common eating peaches on the market.

This peach is easy to grow and maintain. It is sweet to eat. The fruit is good for preserving, canning and freezing.

Prefers a sunny position in a humus rich soil. Requires annual pruning to keep its strong form and shape and to ensure it crops the following year.
