Foliage Deciduous
Form Round
Mature Size 8 x 6m
Family Rosaceae
Josephine Fruiting Pear

This is a deciduous self-sterile winter pear tree that has fragrant white/pink flowers produced in spring followed by small, greenish-yellow fruit that matures late-season. The fruits of this variety are red, smooth-skinned, very juicy, and sweet. Pears are dioecious, so it's necessary to have both a male and female tree for fruit production.

Josephine’s fruit is great to use in deserts or to eat as is. Fruit can be stored for up to two months!

Thrives in a full sun position and fertile well-drained soil. To produce good fruit they need a cold period during winter so do best in areas with a degree of frost.
