Ulmus parvifolia 'Inspire'

Foliage Deciduous
Form Fastigiate
Mature Size 10 x 4m
Family Ulmaceae
Inspire Chinese Elm

This variety of Chinese Elm is a smaller growing alternative to other Ulmus cultivars. It has an attractive upright growth habit making it perfect for long, narrow planting areas such as down driveways, paths or along avenues. Like all Chinese Elms, autumn brings a colour display of oranges and reds.

As a cultivar of Chinese Elm, its compact fastigiate shape is excellent for narrow areas but it also works well as a courtyard feature or screen when planted closely together.

Prefers a humus-rich soil. Is frost resistant but drought tender.
