Thanks to the efforts of a group of Melbourne councils, Victoria University and the State Government, valuing the benefits of green infrastructure has taken a major step forward with the launch of a new economic framework.

University Square Carlton, a $15million green plan to upgrade green infrastructure

A group of Melbourne councils, the state government and Victoria University have launched Australia’s first Economic Framework for Green Infrastructure, which details ways to develop a business case for urban greening strategies. Well done to all parties involved in this comprehensive outline, including the Victorian Government, City of Kingston, City of Darebin, City of Moonee Valley, City of Melbourne and Victoria University.
