Council Trialling Program Review 2024

In a year of review, our aim was to discuss propagation successes, review material delivered and compile a commercial list for 2025 and beyond. A big thanks goes to the presenters and all participants for a morning of informative program discussion.

A big shout out to Meg Taylor from the City of Port Phillip and Steve Watt from the City of Greater Geelong for fantastic presentations on their own council trialling initiatives. Collaborating and learning from what's been done is vital to success with this program. This shared knowledge leads to the sort of group discussion needed to embark on new tree selections beyond 2025/2026.

Taking the time out of busy schedules to get to this forum is appreciated, so we would also like to thank attendees from Boorondara, Hobsons Bay, Maroondah, Stonnington, Whitehorse, Whittlesea, Yarra City, Hume, Glen Eira and Knox for participating this year.

Can everyone with trial material please ensure that details are loaded into Treenet's Tree Trials Database. If anyone has questions about uploading data, Tim or Amy at Treenet can assist by calling 08 7080 6310.

A wrap-up of the tree discussion from this event will be circulated by email to the event invitation list shortly.  If you would like to be included on this list for future attendance please email Lee-Ann Officer here.

If anyone has any new trialling information to share or additional comments about the selections discussed, please email John Simpson or call him on 03 9554 2000.
