Knowing the reason you are looking to buy a tree is extemely important.

Is it to shade, screen, add a focal point to the garden? Is it required on the north side of the house; the south side? West or East? Is there structural elements near by? Paths or driveways? Will you sit under it or have the kids swing off of it! Will it have space to grow? Are there cables or power lines nearby?... Every snippet of information is necessary before you make that wonderful investment in a tree.

Ideally the most intelligent approach is to talk to a nursery professional, take the time to view their stock and understand what they do in the production area to achieve the end result. Like the tree purchase itself, it is an investment in time and money both for you and the horticulturist growing the tree.

Visit the nursery and don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions as the tree purchase is important. And if the nursery is a reputable one like ours, be prepared to be both impressed by the responses and enlightened by the experience.

For feature foliage it is difficult to go past this variety. Beautiful green foliage and red stems, it is perfect as a single specimen or multiple planting if you have the space. An evergreen tree with a wide canopy once established, it grows 8-12m tall.
A smaller tree for smaller spaces, without any compromise on attractiveness. This is a beautiful addition to any garden. An evergreen tree, growing 4-8m tall, it works wonderfully well layered in the garden as a backdrop to smaller shrubs and plants. 40cm/27L 50cm/52L
For fascinating bark, this is a doozy. An iconic Australian look with crusty dark bark peeling away from a smooth trunk, this feature is best with space as it can grow between 12-20m tall. Best leave this selection for acreage parks and gardens 40cm/27L
Pyrus is always a popular selection and Cleveland Select is a great option for many landscaping uses. A deciduous tree growing 8-12m tall, it can be used as a striking feature tree or multiple planted as a group. Makes a fantastic creative screening option along a fenceline or driveway. 40cm/27L 50cm/52L 100L 150L
The oldest tree recorded in the world, the Gingko has one of the best looking leaves and foliage of any tree going around! Deciduous and growing 12-20m tall, its beautiful open structure and soft foliage makes a commanding shade tree. 100L
One of the smaller growing Magnolia grandiflora varieities growing between 4-8m tall, this beautiful tree has so much going for it - wide white open flowers and glossy green leaves with a wavy edge it is suitable as a feature and as a creative hedge. 30cm/14L 40cm/27L 50cm/52L
