Description Acacia pendula is a long-lived variety of wattle tree with an erect, pendulous to spreading habit with weeping, blue-grey foliage and small yellow flowers in summer and autumn. It is both frost and drought tolerant and traditionally has grown well in clay soils west of the great dividing range. As it produces seeds, it is bird and insect attracting.

Uses Growth to 10m and thick pendulous branching, makes it a good native feature tree, shade tree or street tree. but we think it is also good for screening, shelter and windbreaks. Growing naturally in western NSW and Queensland it copes with humidity.    
Position & Soil Tolerant of frost and drought, it is a good selection for heavy clay soils. Prefers full sun.
