Tree Calodendron capense Cape Chestnut

Description Small to medium evergreen tree with beautiful flowers borne from November to December. The smooth grey bark can also be a feature. Despite its common name, Cape chestnut is not closely related to chestnuts (Castanea) or horse chestnuts (Aesculus ) but is a member of the citrus family. But is does look spectacular when flowers cover the crown.
