Description This is a small bushy evergreen or large shrub growing to around 8 metres in ideal conditions. Foliage is leathery and dark green in colour. Flowers are prolific and small-to-medium in size, surrounded by four large buttery yellow petal-like bracts. It also produces fleshy, red strawberry-like fruits that are attractive to birdlife. It makes a lovely ornamental feature with a spreading habit, forming an attractive low canopy.

Uses This is a very pretty tree that can be used as a feature. At 8m tall, it is suitable for residential landscaping.    
Position & Soil This species grows best in a lime free soil that is well-drained. Suits full sun to part shade position. It has a low tolerance of heat and humidity, so it is more suitable to cooler climates.
