Description This variation of the Smoke Bush is a hardy, deciduous shrub well suited to cooler areas. Soft purple foliage deepens in colour over summer, particularly if planted in full sun and is retained until autumn when it turns a brilliant orange colour. Tiny pink flowers are borne on the ends of long stalks over the warmer months, giving a dramatic effect similar to plumes of smoke.
