Description Davidia involucrata is a medium-sized deciduous tree known for the two beautiful white bracts that surround the small true flower. The white bracts appearing in spring are uneven in size with the larger reaching up to 20cm in length. The white bracts and flowers will occur until the tree is around 10 years of age. In autumn, shades of yellow, orange and red can be seen giving a striking autumnal display.

Uses Being deciduous, this tree offers year-round interest and makes a lovely shade tree in summer.
