Description | This is a small deciduous tree with bold, deeply lobed leaves and insignificant flowers followed by medium-sized edible fruit which are first green, but purplish when ripe. This is one of the hardiest varieties of fig. Usually produces one-two crops of fruit per year. Foliage has a distinct shape. This is a self-pollinating variety. 'Brown Turkey' works well in both cold-temperate, dry inland and sub-tropic areas, as it requires low chill hours. | ||
