Description This is a tall and fast growing, evergreen shrub or small tree that closely resembles the Camellia. It has slender, oval, green leaves, and bears large white, crepey, open-faced flowers with brilliant, golden yellow stamens in the centre - looking like that of a fried egg.

Uses They make excellent feature and shade trees in small to medium gardens especially as they provide flower colour all the way through winter and into spring. Excellent for hedging. Will tolerate shade.    
Position & Soil Mulch well, feed with balanced, slow release fertiliser and water regularly in summer. Hardy to cold and wind, so suitable for colder climate gardens, including frosts and light snow.
