Description 'Burgundy' is a tall, fast growing shrub with striking burgundy coloured foliage and an abundance of white flowers in spring. It makes an excellent selection for a background plant, screen or hedge particularly because of its fine tea tree foliage and burgundy colour. It has a lovely, gentle weeping habit.

Uses Left in its natural form, it makes a lovely small informal screen, or due to its fine foliage, can be clipped into a low hedge. It can also be used as a lovely addition to a cut flower arrangement.    
Position & Soil Leptospermum is tolerant of most soil conditions but prefers a well drained humus rich soil. Thrives in an open position in sun or dappled shade.
