Description This medium-sized tree has a beautiful habit with pendulous green leaves which are smooth and shiny. The flowers are enclosed in furry brown packages opening to white highly fragrant flowers in Spring. It has similar flowers to Magnolia denudata.

Uses A great feature tree. Ideal for gardens, parks and for street planting. Looks effective when planted in a row. Great scented flower makes it a great addition to any garden.    
Position & Soil Prefers humus rich well-drained soil in a full sun to part shade position. Prefers a neutral to acidic soil. Also suitable for colder climate gardens, including frosts and light snow.
