Tree Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid' Limber Pine

 

 

 

 
Description This is a form of pine tree with an upright, conical shape and a strong central leader. Unlike most pines, the silvery blue-green needles are soft and closely spaced. Branches are flexible and interestingly twisted with an open habit when young which becomes bushier with age, generally growing faster in height than width. This variety likes well drained soil and is a good choice for hot, dry areas.
