Description A great fast growing shade tree, this is a medium to large deciduous tree with an oval form growing to approximately 20m high. It has smooth, light grey bark which becomes deeply furrowed with maturity. Leaves are alternate and serrated, dark green in colour with a silvery-white underside giving a shimmering, two tone effect when caught by a breeze. Produces yellowish-white, fragrant clusters of flowers in summer, followed by small, oval fruits and in autumn, foliage turns yellow before falling.
