Description This is a stout shrub-like tree best known for its beautiful fragrant white flowers borne in clusters in Spring and Summer. Following the flowers, a highly ornamental display of red berries appears which turn to black as they ripen. It has glossy bright green foliage which is large, leathery and oval in shape. A fast-growing species, suitable for hedging that can quickly form a dense screen, rounded shrub or small tree.
