Position & Soil
Apples are hardy trees that will survive in tough conditions once established. In order to get the best crop, it is best to prune young trees to create an open canopy of strong branches that can support heavy future crops. Fertilise in spring and autumn and provide supplementary irrigation in the heat of summer for best yields.
