Eucalyptus macrandra is a tall shrub or small mallee tree with greyish smooth bark which sheds during late summer and autumn. The revealed new bark is greenish-brown to brown. The leaves are lanceolate, leathery and bright green. Lemon yellow coloured flowers emerge from elongated buds between December and March and are filled with nectar, making them attractive to native birds and insects.
