Burgundy Willow Myrtle

This small attractive tree bears white clusters of flowers in spring. It has a beautiful weeping habit. Its foliage is probably the most spectacular feature as it has dark burgundy coloured leaves. The leaves are aromatic when crushed.

This species has low water needs. Deep foliage colour means it looks great combined with Acacia cognata 'Lime Magik', and Acacia cognata 'Green Screen'.
Position & Soil
Likes a well drained moist, humus-rich to clay soil, or even a sandy loam. Takes the wind in coastal areas and likes full sun position. Needs very little water.
